Inspire Trace to create a cartoon strip – on a large-scale live projection from your ideas…
She will throw in a few cartooning tips as she draws… and then make a start on your own cartoon – Trace Balla is a much loved local children’s book author and illustrator. A self-described ‘story catcher’ she finds inspiration in nature and incorporates local plant and animal species into her detailed, cartoon-style drawings.

Trace Balla is a children’s book author and illustrator, winner of the Children’s Book Council of Australia Children’s Book of the Year: Early Readers Award, the Wilderness Society Picture Book Award, and the Readings Children’s Book Prize. Trace also works as an illustrator, inspirational speaker, and workshop facilitator, and is a favourite amongst kids and adults alike.
She lives in Djaara Country, Australia. Trace creates graphic novels and children’s books about connecting with country and community.
